Commercial cleaning is the work that keeps a Murfreesboro business looking like a place customers want to do business, clean glass on the storefront, restrooms that don’t deteriorate by Wednesday, floors maintained instead of stripped once a year, and the small details (entry mats, baseboards, ceiling vents) that quietly add up to the impression a workplace gives. Murfreesboro Cleaning Services connects local businesses with insured commercial cleaning crews for after-hours nightly and weekly janitorial, post-construction tenant build-out cleanups, medical and dental office disinfection, retail and storefront resets, and the standing recurring contracts that keep an office, clinic, or retail space stable. We carry commercial general liability coverage, can issue Certificates of Insurance naming your property additionally insured before the first visit, and run bonded crews on accounts that require it.
This page covers commercial work. For homeowner cleaning, recurring plans, deep cleans, move-out, post-construction residential, and Airbnb turnovers, see our residential cleaning page.
Office cleaning
Office work is the bulk of our commercial calendar. We run nightly, every-other-night, and weekly visits on offices around the Mercury Boulevard, Old Fort Parkway, and Veterans Parkway corridors, plus the smaller professional buildings in the medical and legal blocks closer to the Square. After-hours scheduling is the rule, most of our office work happens between 6 PM and 5 AM so the crew is in and out before the workday starts and there is no disruption to client meetings, phone calls, or staff productivity.
Standard nightly office scope: trash and recycling, vacuum carpeted areas, mop hard floors, dust horizontal surfaces, sanitize high-touch points (door handles, light switches, copier and break-room surfaces), restroom restock and full reset, kitchen and break-room counter wipe-down, and lobby glass. Rotation work, baseboards, vents, ceiling fans, blinds, deep tile work in restrooms, runs on a monthly or quarterly cycle layered on top of the standard visit. Full scope and contract structure on the office cleaning page.
Medical and dental office cleaning
Medical and dental cleaning runs a different protocol than standard office work. Disinfectants used in clinical settings need EPA registration for the pathogens of concern (the disinfectant a janitor uses on a desk is not what cleans an exam room), and the sequence matters, clean before disinfect, contact time observed, separate microfiber for clinical and non-clinical zones to avoid cross-contamination. We connect medical and dental practices with crews trained on this protocol, who run the right products at the right concentrations and document visits for OSHA and infection-control review.
Standard scope for a small medical or dental office: full disinfection of exam rooms or operatories at the end of each business day, lobby and reception reset, restroom full sanitize, break room, hallway floors, and a rotation of detail work on areas not in active patient flow (storage, files, supply rooms). Larger practices get a more detailed scope and a dedicated crew on a fixed schedule.
Retail and storefront cleaning
Retail cleaning happens on the schedule that works around your customers, usually pre-open in the morning or post-close in the evening. Storefront glass, entry mats, sales-floor vacuum or dust-mop, fitting rooms, restrooms, and the back-of-house reset are the standard retail visit. For shops on the Square historic district and in the Stones Town Centre and Murfreesboro Center plaza-style locations, we keep the visit window tight so the next morning’s open is on a fresh space.
Post-construction commercial
Tenant build-outs, new offices, restaurants, retail spaces, and clinical suites, generate the same drywall-dust-and-adhesive mess as residential new builds, only at scale and on a tighter pre-open deadline. We run final-finish post-construction cleans on commercial spaces, including detailed inside-cabinet work, sticker and adhesive removal from glass and fixtures, full HVAC vent wipe-down before commissioning, and the punch-list polish that gets a space photo-ready for opening day. Most build-out cleans run as multi-day jobs scheduled to a hard open date, we plan around your contractor’s punch-list timeline.
Recurring janitorial contracts
Standing contracts are how most commercial accounts run after the first visit. We structure recurring janitorial as a fixed monthly fee for a defined scope of nightly or weekly visits, with rotation work specified in the contract. Standard contract length is 12 months, with a 30-day mutual termination clause so neither side is locked in if the fit isn’t right. We can also run shorter pilot contracts (60 or 90 days) when the property manager wants to evaluate before signing a full year.
A recurring janitorial contract covers:
- Defined scope of work per visit (trash, vacuum, mop, restroom reset, dust, glass)
- Frequency (nightly Monday-Friday, every other night, three times weekly, weekly)
- Rotation schedule for monthly and quarterly detail work
- Supply provision (we stock our own products and equipment; restroom paper and trash liners can be either side)
- COI on file, naming the property additionally insured
- Bonded crews for accounts that require it
- Single-point-of-contact for issue escalation, with a 24-hour response window
COI, bonding, and insurance
Real businesses need real paperwork from their vendors. We carry:
- Commercial general liability, standard $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate, with the option to increase for accounts that require higher limits.
- Workers’ compensation, covering the crew assigned to your account.
- Janitorial bond, fidelity bond covering theft or damage by crew members on properties that require it (many medical and high-end commercial accounts do).
- Certificate of Insurance, issued the same day on request, naming the property and the property manager additionally insured. Send your COI requirements with the initial inquiry and we will match them.
If your lease or property management company has specific insurance requirements, additional insured language, specific limits, certain endorsements, send the requirements with the initial inquiry and we will match them on the COI before the first visit.
Pricing for commercial work
Commercial pricing is structured per visit or per month depending on contract type. Per-visit pricing applies to one-time post-construction or specialty work; recurring janitorial is structured as a flat monthly fee. The variables that drive commercial pricing are square footage, frequency, scope of work (full janitorial vs. light office, with vs. without restrooms, with vs. without floor work), and any specialty requirements (medical-grade disinfection, post-construction punch-out, late-night schedule). For a full breakdown of how commercial pricing works, see the cleaning cost page.

Schedule a commercial walkthrough
Call (629) 249-7130 or send your scope, square footage, and visit-frequency preference through our contact form. For commercial accounts we always do an in-person walkthrough before quoting, every commercial space has its own quirks (security, after-hours access, alarm codes, key handoff, sensitive areas), and a 20-minute walkthrough is what gets the quote and the contract right the first time. See the FAQ for common questions about COI, scheduling, supplies, and contract terms.
