Post-construction cleaning is a category of its own because new-build and major-renovation dust isn’t normal household dust. Drywall powder coats every surface, including inside cabinets you’d swear were closed during the work. Paint splatter sticks to baseboards and floors. Sticker residue lingers on appliances, windows, and fixtures. The punch-out trades leave a fine film on every horizontal plane. Standard cleaning products and protocols don’t handle it efficiently, so we run a different sequence with different products on a different schedule.
Where the work happens. Murfreesboro’s new-build corridor is concentrated in Three Rivers, Blackman, the Salem Pike area, and the subdivisions off Old Fort Parkway and Veterans Parkway. We run post-construction cleans on residential builds from 1,800 square feet up through estate-sized custom homes, plus renovation projects on older homes around the historic Square district where remodels are constant.
Standard post-construction scope:
- Window track and glass detail. Construction adhesive, sticker residue, and dust lock into window tracks; we clear those completely so the windows operate cleanly.
- Every cabinet, inside and out. Drywall dust settles inside cabinets even when doors are kept closed. Tops of upper cabinets get the heaviest accumulation.
- Sticker and adhesive removal from appliances, fixtures, glass, and any surface the trades labeled or wrapped.
- Baseboards and trim including the runs the painters splattered and the corners the trim crews left dusty.
- Light fixtures and ceiling fans wiped fully, drywall dust on fan blades will recirculate the moment the system runs.
- HVAC vent covers off, wiped, replaced. Construction dust in the ducts and on the registers will push through the home the first time the system commissions if it’s not handled.
- Every floor including hardwood (which gets a careful pass since drywall dust is abrasive and can scratch finish), tile, LVP, and carpet.
Pricing on residential post-construction runs $0.30 to $0.65 per square foot, about $750 to $1,625 on a 2,500-square-foot home. Commercial post-construction runs $0.20 to $0.55 per square foot.
